This area of northwest Malta includes the coast from Golden Bay to Il-Prajjet and ix- Xaghra l-Hamra. The area has been designated as a national park by the Maltese Government and contains a 6km stretch of protected coastline that is part of a larger area designated as a Special Area of Conservation of International Importance.
